• 1996
  Mr. George Ou and his invention team in Wellcom Tech started to develop MCC (Multi Component Card)
• 1997
  Wellcom Tech joined the E-Tone Smart Card Consortium for the BOT bid of Taiwan National ID & Health Care Smart Card.
• 1998
  Completed the 1st generation MCC with glass LCD
• 1999
  Completed the 2nd generation MCC with plastic LCD

• 2002
  SmartDisplayer was co-founded by Mr. George Ou, Ms. Wenching Chou, Mr. Tom Lin and Wellcom Tech team
• 2003
  Started to develop SOC for electronic paper in DisplayCard application
• 2004
  Completed the 1st MCC prototype which compliant with ISO7810
• 2005
  1 BDM production line set up and started to deliver InCard BDMs
• 2006
  Won SID2005 Display Product Gold Award
• 2007
  By using SmartDisplayer’s EPM, A-Data Technology won CES Innovation Award of 2007
• 2008
  Started to deliver both BDMs and turn-key OTP DisplayCards
• 2009
  Complete development for OTP DisplayCard products with 5 series 20 items
